Election Rules
These are the official rules related to BAH elections.
Available Positions:
1. President - Shall also serve as Captain; Shall be in charge of
arranging BAH meetings with input from other team members; Shall call
team meetings to order and serve as moderator of said meetings.
2. Vice President - Shall fill in for the president when he/she is absent; Shall investigate BAH opportunities (like those sweatshirts and jerseys we’ve all been talking about.)
3. Treasurer - Shall assist the VP with that “opportunies” nonsense; Shall serve as primary accountant & token/dues collector.
4. Recording Secretary - Shall record scores and post them online; Shall record nicknames (That’s very important.)
5. Secretary of Agriculture - Shall be in charge of things made from hops, barley, fruit, cheese, and bread. (i.e. the pizza and beer guy.)
Guidelines (which can be added to if anyone has suggestions):
Elections shall be held once yearly in July. However, special elections
may be held at anytime, for any reason, provided members vote in favor
of an election at a meeting. At least 2/3 of the members present must
vote in favor of the election.
Any member may be nominated for a position.
Any member may decline a position.
Popular vote shall rule who obtains a position.
Members may hold more than one BAH position. However, the Vice President may be neither the President nor the treasurer.
Any member who has attended at least one BAH meeting may vote.
Voting shall be open for at least 7 days.
Votes may be cast by email, show of hands, oral declaration, secret ballot, or any other means agreed upon by members.
Ties shall be broken by a best of three game of Roshambo (rock-paper-scissors).
